I was at that game in 1990, the first time ever that “Flower of Scotland” was sung as the official Anthem for Scotland. The English team ran on, the Scots walked on slowly & deliberately.
Every Scot knew that we meant business.

For weeks before the English biased BBC sports media talked about how England would win the Grand Slam, they were denied that day!
When “Flower of Scotland” played the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and we sang our hearts out. Even Princess Anne joined in!
